Bio:
The Fabulous Capris recorded "Stagger Walk" and "In the Alley" in 1970 at what was described at the time as being "a funky egg-crate rigged, little 12 track studio" - namely: Brian's Recording Studio in Tyler, Texas. Their manager mailed a tape of the recordings to Gene Summers, the owner of the Garland-based Domino label. Without ever meeting the group he released the two tracks on March 15, 1971, as Domino #105. Only 250 copies were pressed in total and most of these were sold by the Fabulous Capris themselves direct from the bandstand in the venues they played. It is thought the band had a small amount of radio airplay in East Texas. Little else is known about The Fabulous Capris besides their names. The Domino 45 has been officially reissued on the Sticky Records label.
